delete your account
You can delete your Good Bits account, made by Raneem Hossam, at any time. Your account only exists if you signed in with Apple or Google; without one, everything is on your phone and deleting the app deletes it.
in the app
Open Good Bits, then Settings, then "delete account", and confirm. It's done straight away.
without the app
Email goodbitssupport@gmail.com with the subject "delete my account", and say whether you signed in with Apple or Google. I'll reply to check the account is yours, then delete it within 30 days and tell you when it's done.
what's deleted
- Your account and every sign-in.
- Your whole backup: photos and their full-quality copies, voice notes, captions, favorites and dates.
- With Apple, the connection between Good Bits and your Apple account.
what stays
- The album on your phone, until you delete the app. Export it first if you'd like a copy: Settings, then "export my album".
- Your Plus subscription. Deleting your account doesn't cancel it: do that in your phone's subscription settings. Apple or Google, and RevenueCat, keep records of purchases, as payment rules require.
- The "your book" counts, which were never linked to you. If you left your email on the "your book" sheet, it's kept apart from your account: ask in the same email and I'll delete it too.
- Short-lived server logs, which never hold what you saved, are gone within a few days.
You can also remove a single good bit without deleting your account: open it, then remove it. Its caption leaves the backup straight away, and its photos and voice note within 30 days.
